    SRAM Brake Recall

    DETAILS: SRAM Hydraulic Road Rim Brakes and Hydraulic Road Disc Brakes for bicycles. The recalled bicycle brake models include SB Red Hydraulic Road Disc, SB Red Hydraulic Road Rim, SB 700 Hydraulic Road Disc and SB 700 Hydraulic Road Rim, used as either front or rear brakes. The SB RED brake lever is labeled "RED" on the body of the lever assembly. The SB 700 brake lever is labeled "S-Series" on the body of the lever assembly. The serial numbers for the recalled brakes have the digit "3'' as the fourth digit of the serial number. The serial number can be found on the bottom of the caliper body.     WHY: The brake systems can fail, posing a crash and injury hazard.

    INCIDENTS: 95 reports of brakes failing in the U.S. One minor injury was reported in the U.S. and another in Australia.
