It was my pleasure running into Ed Comans, a long time SBRA member, at The Villages today. I met Ed about 8 yrs. ago ( more or less but who can remember when you're 64 ) on Barbara Abraham's pm C ride in East Islip. Ed had this crazy looking thing on the back of his car when he rolled up that he called a recumbent. That night Ed told me That he couldn't ride fast but he could ride all day. Now I am riding a bent. Who woulda thunk it!! My buddies and I chatted with Ed and his friend Bob about cycling. Ed also told us he had his left hip replaced 6 wks. ago and will be having his right one operated on this week. He should be as good as new in about 8 wks.
BTW, don't miss riding in The Villages if you are in the area. Miles and miles of super riding can be had meandering through the sprawling area The Villages encompass.
