Honest pace. Dishonest riders welcome. If you like to play ditch the ride leader, take a cue sheet. I'll void the warranty on my new knees if I have to chase you down when you make a wrong turn. "GU" stops hourly, pit stop at Tulley's or deli/cafe on Shinnecock Ave
This will be a structured B+ ride where group rides together. If you are looking for a fast B+ ride or ride off the front of the group this ride is not for you.
We take a quick bathroom break at cupsoque and then head to the Hampton coffee house for the rest stop.
Come out and join me for a ride from Bellport to the Beach. We will make a stop at the Deli on William Floyd Pkwy. for a snack if you want to bring one to our break at the beach. This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.3 - 12.8, depending on the wind and the riders. There will be cue sheets and no one gets left behind. Cell Phone Number: 631-523-2129
Today’s Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course the Woodside bigger incline. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.7 to 15.0 mph, +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, and other conditions which could put the ride in the lower part of a "B". The road speed will be between 15 and 17 mph. We'll stop along the way for a pee break. Bring a snack for the beach stop. There are a few places along the route where leg stretches can be be done for those who wish. PARKING: Use the area of the parking lot on the SOUTH side.
Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:30AM, if necessary. My cell number is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions about the ride or need directions to the start
