NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Cruise to Babylon with a rest stop at the docks. Bring a snack. The group will stay together. The ride will average between 15.3-15.8mph with of course a little faster mph during our cruising speeds.
We're off to Shoreham with a stop at the Bagel Café (aka Bagel Lady) for a rest/snack. Leader will maintain a 13-15 mph level ground cruising speed. No one will be dropped. Any weather related change will be posted by 8AM.
We will go to Ronkonkoma today. We’ll stop at the lounge for coffee and a bathroom break between mile 12 & 15, and then head back. Stretching ones legs in a spot, or two, could be a good thing; this is not a pace line. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.5 and 15.0 mph; the ride will be between 17 and 20 miles. The road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average.
Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:30AM if necessary. My cell number is 631-484-3490, call anytime if you have questions about this ride, or need direction to the start.
This is a longer version of one of the Guide Dog Routes from last year. There is no food stop so bring a snack for the stop at the lighthouse. This ride has alot of hills. Riders will go at their own pace up the hills and there will be wait ups so no one gets dropped. I put a B pace but it will most likely be less due to the hills. If I make any changes it will be by 6 am so be sure to check before you leave for the ride.
SORRY, HAVE TO CANCEL THE RIDE TODAY.
Join me for a short ride through the back roads of Manorville, over toward Riverhead, and back. We will make a stop at Bean & Bagel for a snack and/or bathroom break. This will be a structured C+ ride that will average 12.3 - 12.7, with cue sheets, and no one will be dropped.
Cell phone (631) 523-2129.
PARK IN THE KING KULLEN SHOPPING CENTER, ALONG THE DRIVEWAY BEHIND 7-11 OR IN THE FIRST ROW ADJACENT TO THE DRIVEWAY, JUST DOWN FROM McDONALD'S.
Come on out to Riverhead for the 33 mile ride to Wading River and back, with plenty of varied terrain and hills (Route 51, Route 111, Little Flower, Baiting Hollow) and some nice, quiet roads, too. We re-group after the major hills, with a brief rest after the Little Flower hill.
SORRY-JUST REMEMBERED I HAVE A MEETING TO GO TO THAT NIGHT. JUST CAN'T SQUEEZE THIS IN.
Park by Wendy's off of Old Neck Road. Rollers on Mill Road taken at your own pace, faster or slower. We regroup at the end for a brief stop-bring water and a snack. Depending on wind, etc. pace may be low B- (no higher than 13.3). Check back before leaving for the ride in case of any changes or cancellations. Cell phone 516-330-1542.
