NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Fall foliage tour week #2: Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and Stony Brook Village.

There should be quite a bit of emerging fall color this week.

Pace will be a "B" effort, wait-ups as needed, nobody gets dropped.

They'll be a stop at Crazy Beans coffee shop in Stony Brook Village.

Meet at the Smithtown Library, park in the rear lot.

Any ride changes will be posted by 7 am the morning of the ride.

Off to Briermere's, with a quick viewing stop of the American Bison, if they are in a field near the road.  Briermere's has picnic tables and restrooms, hot and cold drinks, and if enough riders are interested, we can chip in to share a pie.  Individual baked goods are also available for sale. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride.  Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:30am.

This ride is a paceline ride to Cutchogue. We will go as far as Oregon Road, take a break at the Cutchogue deli and then head back on Peconoic Bay Road. We should maintain road speeds of high 16mph to low 17mph.
