NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

We will be riding on the Grumman trail (paved), as well as backroads in Calverton and Manorville. Bring snacks and drinks, we will be stopping at Bean and Bagel later in the ride. Text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and ride destination if you wish to join the ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:00am.
Join me for this easy and almost completely flat ride from Mattituck to Riverhead, where we will take a break at Briermere. When we return to Mattituck, we can get a slice of pizza (if you want) and then go to the Magic Fountain Ice Cream for a treat (if you want)! {all food is at personal expense}
This is a C+ ride, which will average 12.5 - 12.9, depending on the weather and those in the group. The route may be flexible, due to the winds, so probably no cue sheets.
Please be aware the start is at the Mattituck Marketplace. Bathrooms available on Main Road in the CVS, across from the Magic Founatin.

We will now be on the SOUTH SIDE of the Ronk train station near the Western end of the parking lot closest to Railroad Ave. Bring a snack and hydration. Route depends on riders ability, wind, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. As always newbies always well taken care of and no one gets dropped. Wheels down at posted time as "Daylights A Burnin" so get there 15 minutes before. Any cancellation will be by 8am. No need to text me, just "show n go". Ride average will range from 11.5-12.5mph for this 18-22 mile ride.
Coming from LIE take Ronkonkoma Ave. South, just over RR bridge make 3 right turns, parking is on right, corner of Railroad AVe and Ronkonkoma Ave.
Coming from Lakeland Ave. Sunrise Hwy., go North just pass Vets Hwy make right on Smithtown Ave (following alongside of airport), just before bridge make right on Railroad Ave, parking is on left side (go past one way entrance and make 1st available left into lot).
B level ride with typical road speed no higher than 16.5-17; however, taking what the roads give us, slower on the ups - faster on the downs. Usual route with shared pulls.
