Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

For this FLAT (maybe 1 or 2 small hills) 18-22 mile ride the Average speed is 11-12mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:30am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
Join me for this evening ride from SAYVILLE around the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C, with a ride average between 11.5 - 12.0. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. We are leaving promptly at 5:45 to ensure we have enough daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.
