NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Tour of Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, Stony Brook, Old Field, Port Jefferson and Belle Terre.
This is a long, hilly ride, with 3,000 feet of climbing.
Lunch stop at the bakery in Port Jeff, just before we climb East Broadway.
Pace will be a B/B+ effort, actual ride average will be much lower due to the hill climbs. Group will stay together, with wait-ups as needed on the climbs, mostly for the ride leader.
Any ride changes will be posted by 6 am the morning of the ride.
We are heading to the scenic North shore, stopping in Bayville for a break.
This is a B/B+ ride with an average pace between 16 to 17 mph +/-, depending on the road conditions, wind direction or how the group is feeling. No one gets drop. The road speed will be between 18 to 20mph.
Please check the ride calendar for any last minute changes or cancellation, which will be posted by 6:00am if necessary .
final route will be posted soon. Start at the Municipal parking lot in Jamesport we'll bike out on the North Fork to Greenport and ferry to Shelter Island. Cross Shelter Island and take the South Ferry to the South Fork and return through Riverhead. Bring money for the ferrys and if you want lunch at Main Road Biscuit after the ride.
Heading out with Dan's group and sending them off on the ferry. We will make a quick stop and head back more at a B+ pace. I am not ready for 60 but would like to do part of Dan's ride and head back.
Come join me for a nice B- ride to Bellport Docks, I am going to keep this ride at a B- group ride. Road speed will vary between 14-17mph in the flat areas so that we can average around 15.0 We can stop at the Bellport Deli for a snack and refreshments then meet at the docks. Check back for cancellation post before 7:00am just in case the boss has other plans that weren't quite communicated, or in case the weather should drastically change.
We will be doing a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.5 and 15.0 mph. +/- depending on the wind, road conditions, geese, ducks, squirrels, rabbits and that stray goat you see every once in a while. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph. We might end up with an extra mile or two, but that's it.
There will be a short break-a-way along Dune Road; we will not be going to the big bridge.
Around mile 25 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start.

Come on my C paced ride of 18-22 miles at 10.6-11.6mph. Newbies always welcome and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. Park on North side of RR at end of road. Bring water and a snack as route will be determined at ride start due to wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition.
Watch out for flying golf balls as we bike through Timber Point Golf Course looking for its resident eagle at the end of our ride. We’ll be onroad and in Heckscher Park for the remainder of our ride.
