This is the third of the SEAGULL CENTURY training rides. You DO NOT have to be doing the century to go on any of these rides. The ride will be about 47 miles; I know you won’t have any problems. We may take turns at the front, this way you can enjoy the wind in your face and be the first to smell the roses, or the road kill.

Today’s route will take us to Eastport, Remsenburg, Westhampton Beach, and points east usind Dune Road. If the wind is in the wrong direction we will take the inland route. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.8 & 15.0 mph +/-, depending on the wind and other factors it could be in the lower "B" range. The road speed will be 15-17 mph to produce the average. Around mile 28 there will be a food/pee stop at Tully’s (if they are open) or the Green Door, or save you appetite for the next stop which will be the Beach Bakery. There will be about a 10 mile leg stretch for those who desire. Be sure you bring water and something with electrolytes in it.

Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:00AM if necessary. My cell number is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions about this ride
