DATE & TIME CHANGE to Friday at 8:30 ... the Thursday edition of this ride will be CANCELED prior to the ride start! I hope it doesn't cause you a problem.

First time in the woods this season for me so this should be an easy workout for anyone who's been there already. If this is the first time for you also ... no worries ... I'm not an advanced rider and my personal rule is No one left behind in the woods. The temp at 9 AM should be almost 40F w/wind chill at 36F ... should prove to be a nice day.

You should have an up to date DEC parking and access permit. You can now get these permits online at: http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/regions_pdf/newaccessprmt.pdf. To get the permit OPEN the .pdf, fill it out and Submit it then print it out and sign it. When you get the followup email from the DEC office you will know that you're successfully registers.

You'll be in the woods so be prepared with a map of Calverton from CLIMB:
http://www.climbonline.org/pdf/calverton_8X11_05-18-08.pdf ... thanks CLIMB for the trail and the map!

Please check back to this posting before driving out to Calverton as things in life tend change. Call my cell if you're running late ... not necessary to take risks on the road.
