NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

8:30 am start, B+/A- pace to save some energy for the weekend rides. Our usual Reverse 51 with Pleasure Drive. Rest stop at Wildwood Lake, please download or review the route below. Hope to see you there!
Meet at The Maples for a journey to Area 51 and more...
The route visits Mill Road, the Golf Course and 51 Hill. After that fun, it's a time trial down Route 51 to the climb past the Shrine, and up to the antenna hill - the Col de RCN.
We'll have a slightly lower pace on this ride, so others can join.
In keeping with the Area 51 tradition, we'll do this ride non-stop, except for some regroups.
Time to do some rolling terrain and hills to get ready for the Bloomin' Metric and the RxR Century!
Join me for this C ride, which will average 11.2 - 11.7; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will either head to Blue Point or to Oakdale for our break; there will be a bathroom stop.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride, text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
This C+ ride of 18-25 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.
Park in the first lot on the right back at the West end.
Today's Mi Tierrita ride will be going to the Beach. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there. The average pace for the ride will be between 14 to 15.0 mph, depending on the roads and wind direction. The road speed will be between 16.0 and 17.0 mph. The usual break-a-ways will happen for those who desire. We'll stop along the way for a bathroom break around mile 10. Don’t forget to bring a snack. Do you know what AGUAPANELA is? Come and find out. Pulls are appreciate
Forecast is quite good for Thursday, so we are adding this last minute ride to Quogue. Come join us on this scenic, mostly flat and beautiful ride that heads out from the Speonk to Quogue and the surrounding areas. This is a shorter variation of the ride (longer version will be listed later in the season). Please note that we will meet in the parking lot on the east side of Phillips Avenue.
We will not be making a stop to buy lunch during the ride, but there will be a number of stops along the way, so please bring food you may want or need as well as sufficient hydration. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.
To join the ride or if you have questions, please text Bill Mastro at 917-921-5358. I usually send a final ridewithgps file out to those that text me. Any updates or weather issues will be posted to the ride listing by 7:30 on the day of the ride.
The route will be shared later, but expect some additional climbing. Get ready to push yourself and strengthen your legs for our weekly strength-building ride. This will help improve your climbing skills. There will be waitups and Soft Peddles at the top of hills. Cordwood will be included in this ride! I initially rated it as a B+, but be prepared for a possible A-/B+ level of effort.
Please text me by 1pm on the day of the ride to confirm and text you the route.
