We will have a quick rest stop in East Moriches, lots to choose from. The return route is different with continued nice stretches and back roads. We are heading back on Pine St. to Chapman Blvd., to South St., to Silas Carter Rd., to Ryerson Ave., around Swan Lake Golf course area & back to Rocky Pt. cycle. By special request, I am posting this C+ morning ride from Sayville to Bellport, where we'll stop at the Bellport dock to view the Great South Bay. Either bring a snack or you may purchase something in Bellport on the way to the dock.
This is a structured ride which will average 12.3 - 12.7, depending on wind, riders, etc. There will be cue sheets and no one will be dropped.
NOTE: Park on the South Side of the train station.
Thunderbirds, prepare for another attack on Cupsogue! We'll launch from the South Street School and follow the same route out to Cupsogue as last time, but at a slightly easier pace. Along the way we'll encounter Mill Road and the Route 31 hill, and we'll return along a different southern loop.
Prepare to burn-up Dune Road! But remember to pack snacks and extra water, since we won't stop until 33 miles.
Keep your fingers crossed for dry weather! Hopefully, any rain will be gone by our 9:00 AM start time, but be prepared for a possible rain postponement depending on the weather.
