NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

*** Weather Alert ***
Hazy, hot, and humid weather is forecast through Wednesday. I’ve lowered the ride pace to B from B/B+, and knocked a few miles off the route. Please bring along two full water bottles and remember to hydrate as we ride. We’ll be back before noon to beat the worst of the heat.
Lunch in Mattituck at Wendy’s Deli if it’s open, or the bagel shop as a backup.
Forty-five miler out to Mattituck, early start will get everyone back in time for barbecues and fireworks.
Pace will be a moderate B, group stays together and nobody gets dropped.
Come and join Brenda and me for an early 4th of July ride. We should be ahead of any "hot" temps, while getting you back in time for BBQs, get-togethers, etc.!
This ride will be from Ronkonkoma to East Islip, where we will take our break at the golf course. There are beverages, food, and bathroom facilities available.
This will be a C+/B- ride which will average 13.2 - 13.6 and there will be cue sheets.
The usual ride to Smithpoint. If need be we can stop at 7/11 along the way. The Beach hut is now open early as well. We will meet in the over flow lot on the south side of the tracks.
Join us on the 20th+ annual 4th of July ride to the William Floyd Estate to honor William Floyd, a signer of the Declaration of Independence. We'll stop first in Mastic to witness at 10 AM the annual firing of the Revolutionary War cannon, possibly by SBRA member Dick Reed. We'll make a deli stop before entering the estate to pick up snacks that can be consumed while there. Leader will maintain a 13-14 mph level ground pace. No one will be dropped. Depending on wind, tide and position of moon we will ride approx. 20ish miles at a 10-11.5 mph pace from Ronk station. Be ready to roll at posted time with water, fully inflated tires and helmet. Newbies always welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Be there or be square. Cancellation for any reason will be posted by 8am.
We will head down towards the water and maybe meet up with Dicks group to see the cannon go off. Speed will be 14-16mph. Check back day of for any changes by 7:45am.
