NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Come join us foir a ride deep in the heart of Terris Country! 7am start from Meat Farms in Hauppauge for Doug's West Route, going west out the spine of the island then north through Upper Brookville, the gold coast and some of the most beautiful part of Nassau and western Suffolk. There will be plenty of climbs and we are expecting a great group! This will be a steady strong ride with wait-up on the tougher hills. The group will stay together but rider must be self sufficient ie,hydration and nutrition. We will have a deli stops for refills. I'll post any changes by 5:00am morning of ride, if unsure, contact me. See you then!
Join us for a series of loops in and just outside of Harriman State Park. Planned route has 3 hilly loops, including Gate Hill, and 5000 feet of climbs, with the option to shorten the ride as the loops start and end near the car. Bonus miles and hills possible near the end. There are bathroom & water stops, bring your own food and coolers for the car.
Ride is rated B+, not for average but for the effort and bike skills required on long and steep climbs and descents.
This ride goes to Quoge via dune road with a break at the beach bakery. Average speed is the top end of the B/B+ and it will be a paceline. Bring a light snack if you do not want to get something at the Bakery.
Check the morning of the ride for any changes. Please park on the Chapman side of the parking lot.
We will visit the towns of Jamesport. New Suffolk, Cutchogue, an Mattituck (thanks Alan Y for the route) We will take a break at the Cutchogue Deli and Briermere. The ride will average 15.0-15.5 mph depending on wind and rider ability. Bring $ or snacks. Park in the easternmost parking lot bordering the Riverhead waterfront.
Sorry I am just up to it, Will be going at slower speed Bring Money for snacks we will stop at Deli before park and dine in park, speed will be determined by who shows up and the winds, not to exceed C+ average, no one left behind.
Do the loop at a 11-12.7 pace depending on wind, tide, position of moon and slowest rider. Newbies always welcome. Any cancellation by 9:00AM. Put down the remote and get off the couch! Yes, I'm talking to you! You can get pie at Briermere's, see the Buffalos with the holes and get a bagel at our bagel stop. What more could you ask for? Better yet, don't ask for anything because you're not getting it. You ask, what are the Buffalo with the holes - They're the ones where they get the burgers from.
PARK IN THE KING KULLEN SHOPPING CENTER, ALONG THE DRIVEWAY BEHIND THE 7-11 OR IN THE FIRST ROW ADJACENT TO THE DRIVEWAY, JUST DOWN FROM McDONALD'S.
How about taking a ride to Great River today? We will go the usual route through Connetquot Park and then do a loop in Heckscher Park where one can stretch the legs a bit. The route is mostly flat with 2 little hills; maybe 3. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.7 & 15.0 mph +/-, depending on the wind and other factors it could be in the lower "B" range The road speed will be 15-17 mph to produce the average. We will be making a deli/rest stop somewhere between miles 18 and 20.
PARKING NOTE: If the usual spots are filled please park on the far WEST side of the bank parking lot.
