NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

A ride starting in Yaphank, going to and around Manorville/Calverton, then heading North. A deli stop in Shoreham. Mostly flat with a few bumps thrown in for good measure.
Let's celebrate Christine's birthday by riding to the Green Door in Hampton Bays. We'll head east on Dune Rd. and go north over the Quogue Bridge. No Ponquogue Bridge on this ride. Friendly pace line with noone left behind.
Moved to Monday helping Daughter Barbara recuparate after operation, Bring Money for great bagels, speed will be determined by who shows up and the winds, not to exceed C+/B- average, no one left behind.
Today’s Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course the Woodside bigger incline. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 15.0 mph, +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, and other conditions which could put the ride in the lower part of a "B". The road speed will be between 15 and 17 mph. We'll stop along the way for a pee break. Bring a snack for the beach stop. There are a few places along the route where leg stretches can be be done for those who wish.
As usual Eduardo has invited us in for a snack and refreshments after the ride. PARKING: Use the area of the parking lot on the SOUTH side first.

We will mirror Bobby's ride (maybe). The average pace for the ride will be between 11-12.5 mph, give or take depending on tide, wind direction and road conditions and riders ability. We'll stop along the way for a pee break. As usual there will be a spot or two where one can stretch the legs if desired. PARKING: Use the area of the parking lot on the SOUTH side. The restaurant is in Patchogue on the South side of Montauk Hwy about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile East of Route 112. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations (sometimes w*#k gets in the way) which will be posted no later than 8:00AM if necessary. Newbies always welcome and Nobody left behind.
This will be a relaxing ride with some nice water views. We can stop at 7-11 if anyone needs anything for a quick break at smith point marina. Speed will be 12-14.5mph. No one left behind.
At the end of the ride, instead a hanging out in the parking lot, why not follow me (by car) back to my house which is only a few minutes away. Will have refreshements and, an added plus, clean bathrooms.
Late afternoon ride around Calverton. Since the days are getting shorter, the ride will begin promptly at 5:45 and the pace will be the high end of a B. No one will be dropped and wait ups where necessary.

The August executive board meeting will be held at Panera Bread in Bohemia at 7pm on August 27th.
