group will warmup/ride together to old Grumman site. Paceline around facility for 4 or 5 laps at 19-22 mph. Faster riders go ahead and lap us. Slower riders don't need to pull or can fall off the back, we'll get you on the next lap. Easy way to try a faster pace and those paceline skills Ron taught you without committing to a full ride. After laps, will regroup and cool down/ride back to King Kullen. There is nowhere to get water or food so bring what you need.
This will be a structure ride to HP for loops then back to sayville....no official food stop so bring snacks and water, there will be a bathroom break in park.....please note this is not a race, group rides as fast or slow as the last rider.....TY !!!
The Tall Ship festival starts July 4th but some may be here July 3. Pleasant rolling hills of Soundview and a snack on the waterfront. Average 14.5 to 15 if we are lucky. No one left behind. My cell 646-643-6856
Nice and easy ride on the trail at Belmont Lake to the TOB docks. There may be some slight variations once we get into town, we'll all decide on either the deli or shaved ice stop. In addition to the required bike helmet, gear and drinks, please remember to bring insect repellant and sun protection.
Any changes/cancellations to the ride will be made no later than noon the day of the ride, so check back on the ride calendar in the event of hazardous weather conditions.
