NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Let’s take a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.4 and 15.0 mph. depending on the wind, road conditions, geese, ducks, squirrels, rabbits and that stray goat you see every once in awhile. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph; naturally there will be the usual leg stretches. Around mile 22 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 8:00AM if necessary.

We LEAVE the parking lot at 10:06. That means if you get there at 10:06 we will not wait. The usual route w/7/11 or deli stop on the way to snack on at the beach.As always Newbies are always welcome and no one will be left behind. Average pace will be 10-12MPH or as fast as the slowest rider will permit. This IS NOT a race! Any cancellation will be by 9AM. Always check website before leaving as *&^# happens.

Due to a possible weather event on this day the BELLPORT/SMITHS POINT ride may be cancelled. Only IF the BELLPORT/SMITHS POINT ride is cancelled will this ride from SAYVILLE go later in the afternoon at 2PM (weather permitting). Any cancellation will be posted by 1PM. As always Newbies are welcome and we will ride 10-12MPH or as fast as the slowest rider. Route will be determined by Wind, Tide and position of the moon. As always NOBODY left behind.
