Another long post so read more on the bottom. - -Well, it’s Cinco de Mayo, and I have a great ride day planned for you. Ask your boss for the day off or treat him to lunch; I just know he/she would love to come and taste some real Mexican food. The ride will start from the Mi Territa restaurant and go to Smith's Point. The first pee break around mile 10, next one at the beach, 7-11 along the way if you want to stop, and a deli stop on the way back if you choose. We can just eat, drink and pee for the whole ride.
When the ride is officially over go to the restaurant and order some excellent Mexican food. There will be several varieties of cold drinks; Personally, I think the Sangria is to die for; between that, and the jelly donuts is the reason I ride. One tiny winy thing I might mention, it’s NOT FREE so bring some bucks or Mexican Peso’s with you; the exchange rate will be announced. For your entertainment around 5:30PM there will be a mariachi band playing for your enjoyment. So, come on, let’s have another fun filled day with your friends. Non riders are welcome also, just leave me some Sangria.
The average pace will be between 14.5 and 15.0 mph., give or take a tad. Naturally, the road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average. There will be a pee/coffee break about half way.
Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than Noon if necessary. My cell phone# is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions about this ride or need directions to the start.
We will follow Bobby at a little slower pace. Bring money for food after the ride. The food is very good. No one left behind. Look at Bobbys post for more info.
