NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

this ride will be lead as a clinic...learning to climb in a group... there will be no kom's or pr's....each rider will/can learn from other riders on the ride estimated milage-this week includes harbor hill, the beaches, old mill, and river (NO cordwood) this is a trial..if successful, each week we will ride and climb different hills in the area. b+ is the effort, not the pace....if this sounds interesting, then come ride bring snacks---no planned deli stop
This 25 mile ride from Eastport to Westhampton will have an average B- pace between 14 to 14.5 mph depending on weather conditions. We will take a rest/food stop at the Beach Bakery. No one will be dropped. Check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 8:30 AM if necessary. My cell number is (631) 804-0751
Doing a slow steady ride of the Three Village area. Group will
stay together and we will ride within the SBRA Guidelines. No
real food stop so bring a snack . We will stop at West Meadow for a
short break. Please park in the north side of the parking lot
by the tall black tennis fences . This route and style of riding is
a good change of pace from the weekend century training. No pace
lining required.
Park in King Kullen lot nearest to 7-11 and McDonald's. There will be a deli stop just prior to the entrance to the park. Wildwood has picnic tables and bathrooms, and is at about 12.5 miles into the ride. Speed will average between 13-14mph, depending upon road conditions, wind speed and rider ability. This will be a nice easy C+ ride. Pace should be 12.5-14mph. We will go out to Manorville, down to Moriches and back. No one left behind. Park behind the stores in the north-west corner.
