NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

How about going to Yaphank today? The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 and 15.0 mph depending on the wind direction and other factors. The road speed on this ride will be between 15 and 17 mph. There are a few places along the route where one can stretch the legs if needed. Around mile 19 there will be a bathroom/deli stop.

Take LIE to exit 70 and go South appx. 1/2 mile to McDonalds/7-11/KK parking lot. Park facing Mcd.,7-11.
Average speed will be between 13-14mph, depending on wind and rider ability. Wildwood State Park has bathrooms and picnic tables, but no food. There will be a deli stop just before the park to pick up food/coffee, etc. For info. contact Bill Gravitz at 631-356-3036.
