7:45 am sharp start

Join me for the North Country Rd. hills to Manorville. 4 climbs or so with wait ups....you know that route. This is a structured ride and staying together is paramount., with wait ups after the hills. I expect to separate on the hills. We will not do Boy Scout hill on Sound but will , after Little Flower , go over Sound , down to 25A, then left and regroup at the Fed Ex plant on 24 [Edwards}. After that and all the way home it is only rolly. No maps; hope to see you. To find Crystal Brook Hollow, it intercepts with 25A in Mt. Sinai. If rain, I will cancel the morning of.

*Update 10/04/2014 – 7:10AM – Ride is CANCELED. It appears heavy rain will be starting during the ride so I need to cancel; the donut will wait. Tomorrow will be a better day, see you then.*

The jelly donut still calls. Perhaps I can do that "U Turn" again and add 2 miles. Let’s take a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.8 and 15.0 mph. depending on the wind and other factors. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph. Naturally there will be the usual leg stretches. Around mile 22 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start.

THE RADAR HAS LOTS OF GREEN HEADING OUR WAY. LOOKS LIKE RAIN FROM 8AM TO 3PM THEREFORE I AM CANCELING THE RIDE FOR TODAY.
Get a ride in before the season ends! Average pace is 11-12.5MPH. NOBODY LEFT BEHIND. Any cancellation will be by 8:30AM. Best to check website before heading out as conditions change quickly this late in the season. Quick deli stop before we make our rest stop at the beach. Newbies always welcome.

We are going to Manorville where we break at McDonalds for a rest/food stop. High end of a B pace averaging 16 and slightly higher for the ride. We all stay together. If i rains I will post an update by 7 am...

After the rather large turnout last Sunday I've decided to post this ride again. Meet at the southeast corner of the parking lot near the railroad tracks. We will do the same route as last Sunday, meandering through Center Moriches, East Moriches into Eastport. There is no bathroom or food stop on this ride so please plan accordingly. Please check the Ride Calendar on Saturday morning to see if the start time has changed, it may be moved up to 2PM or back to 4PM.
