This is a ride to the bagel store by the rail road. We will be taking a little different way there. We will try for around a 15 to 15.5 average. no one dropped. Any questions, call my cell.
Beautiful ride out to Smiths Point! This is a nice flat ride that takes out to the beach. We will stop to enjoy the view and take a break around mile 20 at the beach.
Average for the ride will be 16.5.16.8 . Park in the lot by the gym and Flo's facing west.
Let's do Marty's ride with a few extra hills. We will head out the usual route and go north to North Country Rd. for some hills. We will head into the break back on the usual route. Then back to the start on the usual route. I would like to keep the cursing speed about 20 MPH on the flats. Hope to see everybody on Saturday.
Meet on the east end of the parking lot, south of the Wendy's. Ride through Moriches, Center Moriches, Eastport and Westhampton Beach with a snack/rest stop at the Beach Bakery. Cancellation for any reason will be posted no later then 7AM Saturday.
Join me for a short, early ride to beat the heat, get some exercise, and still allow you to have most of the day for other activities. We will loop around from Ronkonkoma to Connetquot, and then return through Ronkonkoma, where we will make a brief bathroom stop. This is a structured C+ ride which will average 12.2 - 12.6, with cue sheets and no one will be dropped.
PLEASE NOTE: This ride leaves from the NORTH side of the RR Tracks and we are meeting in the parking lot EAST of the train station.
Mimsie has spoken, it's time for another Manorville-to-Mattituck ride. We'll leave the Manorville King Kullen for a paceline ride out to Mattituck, with a deli stop in Mattituck. We'll return along the Peconic Bay.
Let's plan on keeping the group together!
Allons-y!
**UPDATE 9/12/2014 - 8PM - If there is a chance of rain in the afternoon the ride will be cut to 28 Miles.**
It’s off to Manorville for a change. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 15.0 mph. perhaps a tad higher depending on the wind direction and other conditions. We will slow down for humidity and squirrels. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average.
A rest/ food stop at Mc Donald’s or the bagel shop is scheduled about mile 20. There will be some leg stretches along the way for those who feel the need.
Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:30AM if necessary. My cell number is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions about the ride or need directions to the start.
