Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This is a quick early morning ride from Hidden Pond Park to the Holtsville Ecology center. It will be a quick 20 miles for anyone that has to get to work. No real stop due to the short distance. (you can even do this ride and catch a later one) will consider starting earlier if anyone requests it.
It will be humid so we will do an easy B pace out to Rocky Point breaking at Miller Place McD's.
We will be riding between 16 and 18 to come in with an average around 15.8
Two gentle hills on the way out. Nothing to be worried about.
I thought we would do it for one more week and go to Middle Island again. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.5 and 15.0 mph depending on the wind direction and other factors. However, we will slow down for humidity and squirrels. Around mile 12 we’re going to stop at the senior citizen discount bagel shop or the full price deli; your choice.
There are a few places along the route where one can stretch the legs if needed. This is not a pace line ride.
