Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Here is the route:http://ridewithgps.com/routes/4955778
This will be the usual Sunshine to Manorville with an extra loop to Holtsville Ecology Park as a second stop. We will take a quick break at Mcdonalds in Manorville and the ecology site and head back to Sunshine Mall. Check for any updates the night before and morning of the ride. Everyone stays together.
We will head out east on a lightly different route, just to get a change of scenery. We'll stop for coffee and a quick snack somewhere along the way. As an added treat, Bruce Presner will sweep. We'll keep the group together since I probably won't have readable cue sheet.
Let's ride to Orient on this first beautiful day of summer. We'll ride as a group with some pace lining and there will be a couple of sections where everyone can do their own thing. Short rest stop in Orient State park. Please bring your own snacks since the Orient snack locations have had sketchy hours. Any questions feel free to call or text me at 631 626 3900.
Come out and join me for an easy morning ride from Sayville to Bellport. We will stop at the Bellport dock to view the Great South Bay and use the facilities. Either bring a snack or you may purchase something at the Bellport Deli.
This is a structured ride which will be at the low end of the C+ category, with an average of 12.2, there will be cue sheets, and no one will be dropped.
NOTE: Park on the South side of the train station.
We will go the usual route through Connetquot Park and then do a loop in Heckscher Park where one can stretch the legs a bit. The route is mostly flat with 2 little hills. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.5. & 15.0 mph, depending on the wind and other factors. Naturally the road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average.
We will be making a food/rest stop somewhere between miles 15 and 20. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:45AM if necessary.
