NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Wander around Manorville. Pleanty of "no cars for miles" roads if you want to stretch your legs. No planned stops, seriously it's only 25 miles. I will average 16 mph. Take a cue sheet if you want to go faster.
Flat ride out to Manorville via Union, Bluepoint, Buckley, Woodside, Horseblock, Victory, North, Mill, Halsey Manor and 111. Break at McD's in Manorville at 25 miles. Return along similar route.
**CHANGE 06/11/2014 – Since Wednesdays ride was cut short due to the iffy weather we will do a longer ride today. If the weather is questionable in the morning we’ll do a shorter ride and discuss options at the start.**
This will be the same ride as last week to Middle Island. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.5 and 15.0 mph depending on the wind direction and other factors. There are a few places along the route where one can stretch the legs if needed.
Around mile 12 we’re going to stop at the senior citizen bagel shop or the full price deli; your choice. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:45AM if necessary. My cell number is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions or need directions to the start.
We're off to Shoreham with a rest/snack stop at the Bagel Cafe in Shoreham. Leader will maintain a 13-15 mph level ground cruising speed. No one will be dropped.
Come on out to Riverhead for the 33 mile ride to Wading River and back, with plenty of varied terrain and hills (Route 51, Route 111, Little Flower, Baiting Hollow) and some nice, quiet roads, too. We re-group after the major hills, with a brief rest after the Little Flower hill.
Park behind Wendy's along Old Neck Road. We will do the Mill Road rollers at our own pace and regroup at the end for a short rest stop (no bathroom except the woods); bring snack and water. Since it is shady and will be getting near dusk, be sure to have reflective clothing and maybe lights. Check back here by 4:30 in case weather cancels or call/text me at 516-330-1542.
