NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Join me for a ride thru Bellport and Patchogue this morning starting from the Holbrook Country Club with an average pace between 14.0 and 14.5 mph. naturally, the road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average. There are some spots to stretch the legs if so desired. There will be a stop at Mickey D's or a deli around mile 18.

Meet Manovlille Kig Kullen, LIE exit 70 1/2 mile south. Easy pace 12.5 average speed with no wind, no one left behind. Bring money for rest stop. Please get there early.
Due to a prior commitment I am unable to lead the regular Tuesday night ride out of JFK elementary. John Bambach may be posting that ride in my place this week. I've added this ride to get some extra miles in before the century on Saturday. Meet at the southwest corner of the train station parking lot. We will ride through Oakdale, Sayville, Bayport and Blue Point, with a short rest stop at Corey Beach. Cancellation for any reason will be posted no later than 3:30 on Wednesday.
Mainly flat with a couple of steep short hills. Regroup after hills and as required.

Join our scenic backroads rides thru the Smithtown-Stonybrook area: historic places, great views, great sunsets, great folks. Deeepwells concert tonite!
