Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Usual stop at McDonalds for a rest stop before heading back.
Well this is it..My last training ride before the big day. Multiple rest and food stops along the way. We are staying together but if you have not been doing training rides and getting in the distance this is not the ride the try today. WE will be stopping at the Beach Bakery, and Tullys for food.
If the weather if questionable I will move this ride to the next day so please check for any updates.

=============================================
This is the last Century Training Ride (CTR) for this season! This time we'll taper the mileage and do the Manorville to Mattituck route, with a stop in Mattituck.
Hope everyone enjoyed this season's rides!
Next ride will be the Century and our annual pass by the Memory Motel...
We'll take a short break after about 18 miles at the Bean and Bagel.
The final averages for these Saturday rides have been getting faster. This route has a lot of long flat stretches, so a final average around 18 mph can be expected.
Please note the earlier 8:30am start time and the new Sunshine Mall start location.

Come on out and view the other lighthouse before you push onto MTK next weekend. This will be a nice scenic flat to rolling ride of the north fork with Orient being the destination. Route 48 has been repaved so I'm anxious to check out how nice the spin will be. This is a great ride to come on out and practice or learn pace line skills. Our break will be at Orient pt. state park and the concession stand will probably not be open this time of the year so bring snacks. To those riders who enjoyed the Orient Express hopefully that ride will be pulling out again after the MTK century. So if you want to come out and restore the spirit and refresh the legs for the MTK century come on out . NO go rain or heavy winds so Plz check back. Any questions Plz call or text 631 626 3900. Hope to see ya there.
Will update no later than 8 am Sat if ride is a go or not. Will not go if roads wet or too windy (that's no FUN!) Enjoy the North fork. Honest B. Dishonest riders take a cue sheet. ONE QUICK stop planned 1/2 way. Pee or Goo stops as needed.
Final tune-up before the century ride on May 10. Only riders registered for the century should attempt this ride. The first half of the ride will preview most of the middle leg of the actual century route. Bring snacks or energy bars as food options in Water Mill may be limited. There will be another scheduled snack/rest stop at the Beach Bakery near the end of the ride. Other stops/wait-ups as necessary. Pace should be between 13.5 and 14.5. Please be considerate to your fellow riders by arriving in time to roll out at 9AM. Late arrivers and stragglers will be given a cue sheet and can catch up with the group along the way.
Come join me for a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg, Westhampton Beach, and points east. The inland route will be used unless we have a west wind, then we will use Dune Rd. We’ll make a rest/food stop at The Green Door Market around mile 20. You can get yummy stuff here, or wait till we get to the Beach Bakery in another 10 miles for our second rest stop; your choice of donuts, coffee or just relax and chit chat.
The average pace for the ride will be between 13.9 and 14.5 mph, naturally, the road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average. I will keep the road speed comfortable depending on the wind direction; you know me by now.
Always check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 8:00AM if necessary. My cell phone# is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions or need directions to the start.

After a brief stop on the boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, we will head out to the Beach Bakery for a break, and a snacks/bathroom stop. The ride leaves at 9:30 sharp. Bring water and money for snacks.
