NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Next Year! Due to the Snowed out trails the ride is OFF but the Souper brunch is ON. Due to the crowd that the diner can handle you must either text Bruce at 1-516-702-5639 or email at [eyeman56@optonline.net] or contact me at 631-988-6557 or [nsamuels@optonline.net]. If you don't contact Bruce there maybe no place for you to sit with the club and you will not be awarded club $$.
Brr - it's time to ride. So, leave the Manorville King Kullen for a ride out on the major roads, including the Alien Highway, before the ***next*** snowstorm. We'll have some route options, but count on Route 51 being part of the ride!
Plan on several regroups, but no formal stop. This will be a paceline ride.
Let's keep the groups together, so that no one rides alone: Single riders are always so much more likely to be abducted by aliens...
a "dry" run of my thanksgiving day tradition, but at a controlled and behaved pace. start time may change depending on weather conditions...check back before the ride.... lthis ride is "no H and H" certified (hammering and hijacking).
Leave the Manorville King Kullen for a ride onto the "Big Roads Loop." I was tempted to call this ride "In search of elusive black pavement." Maybe next time.
Maybe we can get this short ride in. There are many potholes and patches of ice, so I am recommending a hybrid with wider tires. Our pace should be 13-14 to get the C+ average. Check back day of ride by 8:30am for any changes. There is no food stop. No one left behind.
Maybe we can get this ride in if it's not to cold or icy. Please check back day of ride for any changes. The pace should be 13-14mph. no one left behind. Wide tires and fenders recommended.
Let's try again. It would be nice to just get a little ride in. There is no food stop, no one left behind. Speed should be 13-14.5mph. Check back day of ride for any changes.
