A work colleague of mine (who lives out in SLO, CA) just got back from Senior Nats and posted some GoPro video from the 55-59 road races where he finished in the leading group in both events.  Here's his description and the links.  Enjoy!!

• I had a great trip to the 2019 National Senior Games in Albuquerque, NM the past week. There are 4 races, a 5K and 10K time trial and a 20K and 40K road race. I live at sea level so the elevation was noticeable, the TT races were flat, at 5800 feet and the RR's were rolling at 6500 feet near Santa Fe. TT finishes were 21st and 25th, but I did acclimate after those were done. The road races were fast and furious and a lot of fun. The fields were about 45 from all over the country, with lots of very strong riders. I got 10th in the 20K, basically sitting in the middle the whole race. Average speed was 25.1 mph. The finish was at the top of a 5% hill for 1/3 of a mile. The front group was whittled down to about 17. They give out awards to the top 8 so I tried harder the next day and finished eighth in the 40K - by .3 seconds! Avg speed was 23.4 mph with 14 in the final pack.
