CHANGE: starting at 8:30 due to the heat forecast

Join me for this morning ride from SAYVILLE to ?? This will be a C+ ride and will average 12.2 - 12.8. The exact route will be determined at the start. Wherever we go there will be a bathroom stop & a food break. Since nothing is certain until we start, there will not be a cue sheet for this ride.

Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.

Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of the ride start time to get yourselves ready and signed-in.

NOTE POSSIBLE CHANGE: If is too hot we will shorten the ride. We can make that decision about half way through.

Going to Manorville today, just a little change here and there. A rest/ food stop at McDonald’s or the bagel shop is on the schedule between mile 16 and 20. There are a few places along the route for a break-a-way for those who wish to do so. Pulling is always appreciated for those who want to help, but not required.

The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 14.9 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhill's, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (14.5 to 17.0 mph.) to produce the average. We might add a mile or two depending on the route and the current conditions the day of the ride.

Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0730 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...

This 40 mile ride from Southaven Park to Manorville will also include a swing around Lake Panamoka.

It will be a mid-level B ride.

If the weather continues to be HOT, I will make dramatic change to the ride's distance, which I will post prior to the ride. Please check back for updates and changes. 

As usual there will be at least 2 gulp and goes on the way and 1 on the return.

CHANGE: NOW FRIDAY AT 9 AM

This will be an easy C+ ride around Center Moriches, that will average 12 - 12.6, and will be taking our break at Nettie's. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Since the exact route will be determined as we go along, there will not be a cue sheet.

The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride you must text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.   

Riders should arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
