Join us as we ride out from Bellport and go for a bit of a Mastic Meander taking the longer way to Osprey Point with lots of turns and some different water views. From there, we head north, pass by the airport, head to River Road before heading back south to Bellport. All and all, a neat 35 miles.
Other than a quick opportunity at Dunkin Donuts, we will not be making a stop to buy food/lunch during the ride, but there will be stops along the way, so please bring any food/snacks you may want or need as well as sufficient hydration. Most importantly bring an upbeat inquisitive attitude ready to explore and discover.
To join the ride or if you have questions, please text Bill Mastro at 917-921-5358. FYI, I usually send the final ridewithgps file to those who contact me. Any updates or weather issues will be posted to the ride listing by 7:00 on the day of the ride.
Join me for this C+ ride, which will average 12.1 - 12.8, no one gets dropped, and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. We will loop around part of lower Stony Brook, then go around St. James. We will take our break at the St. James Bagel Shop (food, beverages, and bathroom available). Route to be determined the morning of the ride, so no cue sheets.
NOTE: I am limiting the number of riders on my rides, so you must text me with your name, SBRA Member Number, and Emergency Contact Phone Number if you want to ride, I will return the text: YES, you have a spot; NO, ride is filled. CELL #: 631-523-2129.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start to "get yourself" ready.
