Same as last weeks Firehouse 54 but I will lead the A+ ride this time. Check the route below, we will return on Dayton as some of you did last week. Rest stop at the Exxon gas station and waitups if needed. Hope to see you there!
A tag along to Gary's A+ ride. We will start out together behind the faster group and go on our merry way. Rest stop at the Exxon gas station and waitups as necessary. Hope to see you there! On the return ride we will go down Dayton ave vs Weeks. Minor change as Dayton was just Paved and is a nice smooth ride as now.
We will be leaving the bank heading to Babylon. There will be a quick coffee break at the Docks. This is a B- ride that will average around 14.5 - 15 mph with road speeds that will reach 16 to 19 mph.
If you have any questions call or text Mike at 516 448-8545.
Going to Great River. I would like to come in between 14.8 and 14.9 mph +/- a tad. In order to get this average we will be doing road speeds between 15.0 and 17.0 mph. Expect down hills and wind at your back to be faster. We will take a break at the bagel shop about mile 14. Things could change slightly due to road conditions and wind direction.Pulling is always appreciated. There will be GOOD STUFF after the ride
If you have any questions, or concerns please text me at 631.484.3490. Should there be a cancelation or change it will be posted by 7:15am.
Destination depending on wind direction and force. For this ride the Average speed is 11.5-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 20-26 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:00am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride - if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. At these speeds Pulling is Important ! I would like to keep the road speed between 17 - 18 mph and come in at an average Hi 15 and Lo 16. Good stuff after the rid
