NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Experience the fun and efficiency of well executed paceline ride in a safe and controlled environment. Instructions will be given prior to the ride by Steve Graham, an experienced paceline racer. You will be encouraged to ride at a distance you are comfortable with from the person in front of you. The route has long straight aways on less traveled roads. Break at mile 16, average will be in the mid B- range. Ride is limited to 10 people, so you must text me prior if you would like to participate. Any changes will be posted by 7 AM.
Off to Nettie's, with some mileage on the Grumman Trail, and secondary roads in Calverton and Manorville. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:30am.
This will be an easy & flat C ride around Center Moriches, on a modified route to keep out of any winds that may crop up. We will average 11.6 - 12.0, and will be taking our break at Nettie's. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Since the exact route will be determined as we go along, there will not be a cue sheet.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride you must text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
Riders should arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
