Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This ride will take us around the Holbrook area, and then up to Ronkonkoma before turning around, heading south, back to Holbrook. At the end of the ride we can all go for coffee and a bagel and chat as usual, if you want. One rolling, and 2 downhill's to a flat. Up hills - let's call it an overpass and a short upgrade. The ride could be a mile longer. No worries, I know you can do it! Remember the bagel waits for you!
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
Easy ride includes Dune Rd. Max. cruising speed 19-21MPH to leave us fresh for a Wednesday Hill ride. This ride should be scenic, friendly, and enjoyable. We can stop in at the Eastport Luncheonette after the ride.
We will be riding around Calverton and Manorville, and taking our food break at the Bean and Bagel. The Bean and Bagel has great outdoor seating in their tent area, which has open sides for air flow. Bathrooms are available inside the store, so bring a mask. We will pass by a house where some trees were partially cut down, with their stumps carved into chess pieces, well worth a look. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendat the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 08:00am.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 25 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:30pm day of ride.
If you have any questions call or text Mike at 516 448-8545.
Moderate/fast paced B/B+ South Shore ride with possibly some park loops at the end. Riders will have the ability to "stretch legs" at some points during the ride with wait-ups to regroup as needed. No one gets dropped. Route changes slightly depending on weather/wind so mileage subject to +/- 10% differential.
At the end of the ride we will meet up with Mike Fiorella's group for Taco Tues at Jackson Hall (next to BoA parking lot). $3 tacos and $6 margarita's all night long!!!
No need to be 20 mins early - just be ready to ride by 3:45pm.
Join me for this evening ride from SAYVILLE around the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.2 - 12.7. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. We are starting at 5 PM and should have plenty of daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.
