Story from Big Gear

Re: Py's story and path to SBRA    -   Submitted:  Sun, 02/28/2010

Your post brought back many warm memories. 2005 is when I also joined SBRA. I had just bought my first road bike and didn’t even know how to change a flat. I started off riding with Bob and Josie Goykin’s training for the Montauk Century on Saturday mornings then I would ride with Bob Fountain on Sunday. I remember you as the guy that talked funny. The summer of 2005 I went to CERN located near Geneva Switzerland for 3 months to work on the ATLAS detector. I brought my bike with me and hooked up with the CERN bike club, Velo Club CERN. I can not begin to describe how great a time I had riding up and down the mountains and all the different places, so many stories to tell. It changed me as a person and cemented my passion for bike riding. SBRA is a big part of that.
