Lake Tour ride which rides on or near 3 of Suffolk's largest lakes: Panamoka, Peconic, and Wildwood. This is a B+/A- ride so the cruising speed will be around 20 mph with a final average speed of 19 mph. Steady pace without surging. This is a recreational ride that all of the riders can enjoy.
There will be a rest stop at mile 20 at Wildwood Lake which has restrooms and a nice view of the lake. Wait-ups as needed but the last one will be on Mill Road and Halsey Mannor Road (stop sign) if needed. Click on the link below to view and/or download the ride route.
For this FLAT (maybe 1 or 2 small hills) 20-24 mile ride the Average speed is 11-12mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 8:30am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
Join me for this scenic true D ride, cruising speed will be 6 - 10. This is for new riders or those looking for a very relaxing ride so the destination is not firm. Depending on the group I'm planning on heading to the beach for a snack and bathroom break. Then ride the Heckscher Park bike path back to Timber point. Please bring water, spare tube, and a snack if you wish.
Please always check back here for any changes before leaving for the ride
Park in the first parking lot on the right, just after entering Timber Point Golf Course.
