The ride is a go!

This week will be a moderate paceline ride over rolling terrain to Briermere Farms. We'll ride at a pace that will keep everyone together, since many of us have later plans for the day. The route takes us out through the farms and some of the nice countryside of the North Fork, where we can ride without much traffic.

We'll have a place or two where you can stretch your legs, but the rest of the time we stay together.

The rest stop food break will be at 18.6 miles at Briermere Farms.

If you haven't ridden with us for awhile, come on out, this will be a controlled pace ride! So don't worry you uneasy riders, if you can hold a B/B+ pace, you'll be fine.   Hit the highway: https://youtu.be/rcsiA2nzVOs

Allons-y!

Details (RL read field instructions carefully):

Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride - if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. Taking turns pulling would be appreciated! I would like to keep the road speed  between 15 & 16 mph and come in at an average between 14.5 and 15.0

Please DO NOT PARK in the Meat Farms parking lot. Use the west side of the bank if the east side is full. Thanks!

We’ll be making a rest stop around mile 19 at the deli/bakery.  The route back will be determined by the wind direction. If you want to bring stuff for after the ride please do. Weather permitting!
