NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Slightly modified Rocky Point to Iron Pier Beach and Jamesport. 60miles at a steady, easy pace! We'll work together and keep the group together so we can save our energy for the weekend!
Long straight stretches so we can paceline @ 19-22 mph, slower with a headwind, faster with a tailwind. Faster riders go ahead. Regroup & Pit stop at Cupsogue beach. Bring snacks because "The Beach Hut is not open this early. Return inland. Avg 17.5 or so.
Park in King Kullen lot closest to 7-11 and McDonald's. There will be a deli stop just before the park entrance. Wildwood has restrooms and shaded picnic tables. This will be a B- ride and we will average between 14-14.5mph, with slightly higher cruising speeds, and lower speeds on the inclines. Speed will depend on wind, temperature, rider ability and road conditions. For info. call Bill Gravitz at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for any changes, which will be posted by 07:00am.
We will mirror Bobby's ride (maybe). The average pace for the ride will be between 11-12.5 mph, give or take depending on tide, wind direction and road conditions and riders ability. We'll stop along the way for a pee break. As usual there will be a spot or two where one can stretch the legs if desired. PARKING: Use the area of the parking lot on the SOUTH side. The restaurant is in Patchogue on the South side of Montauk Hwy about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile East of Route 112. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations (sometimes w*#k gets in the way) which will be posted no later than 8:00AM if necessary. Newbies always welcome and Nobody left behind.
Today’s Mi Tierrita ride will be going to Smith’s Point. The route is mostly flat with a small incline here and there and of course the Woodside bigger incline. The average pace for the ride will be between 14.8 to 15.0 mph, +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, and other conditions which could put the ride in the lower part of a "B". The road speed will be between 15 and 17 mph. We'll stop along the way for a pee break. Bring a snack for the beach stop. There are a few places along the route where leg stretches can be be done for those who wish. PARKING: Use the area of the parking lot on the SOUTH side.
