NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

We are going to Quogue by way of dune road. We will follow Pats group but at a slower pace and slightly different way, but destination willl be the same. There would be no food stop unless we stop at the Beach Bakery which is an option so just in case bring a light snack in case we do not stop to eat.
Sunday ride to Briermere through Riverhead and Jamesport. This ride will pace on the low side of the "B" range finishing with an average of 15.0-15.5mph. Bring $ or snacks for the rest stop at Briermere.
Please note the start site is across Rte111 from the Manorville King Kullen, McD's , and 7/11. Park in the dead end (Chapman Blvd) next to the restuarant
Park in King Kullen/McDonald's/7-11 lot, closest to 7-11 and McDonald's. We will make a deli stop just prior to the park. Wildwood has bathrooms and a picnic area with tables. Speed will average 13.5-14mph., depending on temp., wind speed and rider ability. For information contact Bill Gravitz at 631-356-3036. Any changes will be posted by 07:00am day of ride.
Go to HB via the golf course and Red Creek so we'll have a couple of nice hills. Stop at the Green Door and then back on Dune Road which has just been repaved. Try to average 14.5 to 15 depending on the wind. No one left behindexcept me. My cell 646-643-6856
How about taking a ride to Great River today? We will go the usual route through Connetquot Park and then do a loop in Heckscher Park where one can stretch the legs a bit. The route is mostly flat with 2 little hills; maybe 3. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.7 & 15.0 mph +/-, depending on the wind and other factors it could be in the lower "B" range The road speed will be 15-17 mph to produce the average. We will be making a deli/rest stop somewhere between miles 18 and 20.
PARKING NOTE: If the usual spots are filled please park on the far WEST side of the bank parking lot. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:30AM if necessary.
Ride the Southern Route from Ronk RR through Sayville and over to Holtsville. Mostly flat/downhill with an average pace of 11-12.5MPH, depending on wind, tide, phase of the moon, riders ability and leaders discretion. Newbies always welcome and the only one that could be left behind is that Vietnamese guy NoBody. Any cancellation by 8AM. Rest stop at Ecology Center so bring a snack as there is no place there to buy anything. So let's get out and work off some of that bar-b-que that you have been feasting on all week end. And, p.s. Irene where the hell have you been? You got a new hip so come out and use it!
