SECOND SIGHT Bike-A-Thon: Sunday, September 16, 2007

SBRA sponsors the SECOND SIGHT Bike-A-Thon to benefit the Guide Dog Foundation. The foundation raises, trains, and furnishes guide dogs, free of charge, to visually impaired people who seek the independence, mobility, and companionship a guide dog provides. Rides of 10, 20, 30, 50, & 65 miles all leave from Guide Dog Foundation campus, 371 East Jericho Turnpike Smithtown, NY. Great for families.

Montauk Railroad Century: Saturday, May 12, 2007

The "Swiezy's Easy" Montauk Railroad Century continues. Join SBRA for Long Island's premier 100 mile ride. The ride starts at the Babylon train station. All riders receive snacks and a comfortable ride back from Montauk on the LIRR. Bicycles are individually padded by our sensitive club members and returned to Babylon by moving van.

Registration is by check only and must be accompanied with a signed entry form. Early Registration fee is $20 and must be postmarked by April 23th. The regular entry fee is $25. No checks will be accepted after May 3th ** NEW DATE **. There is no day of event registration. SAG service will be limited. If you have never done a long ride, please have an alternate ride home.

Due to insurance rules, SBRA membership is now required for this event.

There is a limit of 130 riders.

Cuesheets are provided but the route is not marked.

No supported waterstops.

Bike-Boat-Bike: Sunday, June 3, 2007

In 2007 you will again be able to enjoy Shelter Island scenery. SBRA invites you to cycle Long Island's East End. Tour through the woodlands, fields, and shoreline of the North and South Forks. Take the ferry to Shelter Island. Cycle through the scenic coves and byways of beautiful Shelter Island. Ride with friends, family or join a group and make new friends. Whether your preference is social scenic viewing or fast recreational cycling, we are sure you will enjoy the tour. Bike-Boat-Bike has flat to gently rolling routes of 25, 50, 65, 100 and 125 miles with Rest Stops.

Save yourself some time on June 3th (you'll want to be out riding!).
